Drywall Partitioning Plasters

We are using your “Jumbo Skimming Plaster” in a new government hospital in Mbabane, Swaziland. The skimming area is approximately 12 500 m² and we are using projection plaster machines to mix and apply your product to the building’s walls and ceilings.

The smaller 25 kg bags makes for much easier onsite handling than the cumbersome 40kg bags that we are used to and we find less product waste. The product works very well with the projection plaster machines and seems to behave very similar to specialized projection plaster products.

In outlying areas and neighboring countries we are faced with water quality problems especially where ph levels are very alkaline. In the Mbabane project we also used a skim plaster product from a well known manufacturer, but quickly had problems with accelerated and uneven curing. We started dosing the water to correct the water ph levels, but it was still problematic and we suffered losses due to their skim plaster hardening in machine pipes and damaged parts. With your “Jumbo Skim Plaster” we have had no curing inconsistencies and no machine problems.

Your product has an excellent work time and does not need to be locked, this gives the artisans a greater amount of time to concentrate on finishing or to do more squares meter per day. 

It seems that the very white finish of the product decreases paint volumes when painting white ceilings, but we will have a more accurate calculation at the end of the project.

We have used this JUMBO Skimming Plaster now for well over a year and I have been incredibly impressed and pleased with the results.  It is very easy to work with and we can achieve finishes that were never obtainable with some of the more commonly used products such as Rhinolite etc.  It’s consistent and stays workable for more than enough time and my guys love using it.
 
I can honestly say that I could never see a time that we wouldn’t use it given the choice and I would be more than happy to recommend it to all of my fellow contractors and developers.
