The Pencil

Pelican Systems recently worked on an installation of some incredible decorative and functional ceilings at the Pencil Club in Umhlanga.  Absolutely no attention to detail has been spared at this luxurious location, from the lift lobbies to the passageways, meeting rooms and restaurants in the ultra-luxe and exclusive Pencil Club in The Umhlanga Arch Building on Umhlanga Ridge in Durban.

Every detail from the floor to the ceiling is curated and has a sophisticated style and finish.

The Pencil offers an all-day experience, set across 1800 square metres, for members to work, dine and entertain. More specifically, The Pencil comprises of two sit down restaurants, four bars each unique in identity and design, a pool, boutique gym, sauna, steam room, library, meeting rooms, and event spaces.

Furthermore there is a focus on the creation and curation of art produced by talented local artists, by the Pencil Art Foundation which aims to increase the value, visibility and appreciation for art, while at the same time make an impact in the life of artists, by supporting them where they need support.
